The Spheres and the Source

This text is an exclusive prelude—a revelation absent from the novel’s pages. Conceived as a hidden treasure, it is offered as a gift to readers eager to explore Alister Green’s universe and uncover its most secret mysteries.

A New Mystery

At the Origins of the Great Celestial Conflict

Since the dawn of eternity, the Source has breathed its essence into the beings of light, shaping the material universe and giving birth to humankind.

But a heavenly revolt shattered the harmony. Three mysterious spheres, forged to contain the fallen powers, became the keys to an ultimate choice: to save—or to destroy—the entire universe.

Revelations of the Hidden Dawn

The Source

Before time and matter, there was the Source—an absolute divine being reigning over the void. From its breath were born the celestial realms and the beings of light: angels, archangels, seraphim, and cherubim.

To each, the Source bestowed three immaterial essences:

  • Energy — the divine breath that animates the spirit
  • Wisdom — the perception of the universe and its hidden truths
  • Emotion — the burning flame that gives life to feeling and action

Later, the Source shaped the material universe and the Earth, the jewel of its creation, instilling life and mankind—its beloved child.

The Rebellion of the Heavens

In the highest realms, some angels discovered within themselves new sensations: jealousy, anger, pride. Their leader, Manakiel—once cherished by the Source—led a rebellion.

Renamed Asmodeus, he swore to corrupt the Earth and drag humanity toward ruin. The rebel angels, stripped of their purity, sought to spread hatred and destruction.

The Gift of Free Will

True to its purpose, the Source did not extinguish the rebellion. Bound by the law of free will, it offered humanity a choice: to remain in the light or fall into shadow. Yet to preserve balance, it limited the fallen ones’ power.

The Creation of the Three Spheres

To contain the essences removed from the rebel angels, the Source forged three divine jewels and sent them to Earth:

  • Mé — a deep blue sphere carrying the breath of life
  • Gestug — a radiant golden sphere guarding cosmic wisdom
  • Lipis — a blazing red sphere harboring the strength of emotion and action

These sacred spheres are the keys to a power capable either of saving humanity by annihilating the rebels—or of crowning Asmodeus as the eternal prince of darkness.

The Prophecy of Five Thousand Years

The Source limited the lifespan of the rebels to five thousand years and foretold that, as this cycle drew to its close, the spheres would reappear—both to mankind and to the heavens. Their awakening would herald the hour of the final choice:

  • the triumph of light,
  • or the reign of darkness.

Humanity now stands at the heart of this cosmic conflict, holding within its hands the destiny of the universe.
